Scott Capron and Rob Nickerson “hit the mark” with this thought-provoking, challenging workshop! This interactive workshop addressed the dynamics of race and dominant culture related to the learning of all students. Participants explored strategies that support educators in closing the achievement gap, as well as structures that enable schools to become more culturally responsive. No one was in a hurry to leave at the end of the workshop and many stayed to continue networking. People left with practical ideas and research information on this topic.
