Facilitating with Finesse

The art of facilitation is a critical skill that takes much practice. Lois Easton did an excellent job of providing the opportunity for participants to practice facilitating, using case studies and protocols. They engaged in visual dialogue from Suzanne Bailey. They also used protocols related to looking at student work, examining educator practice, and dealing with issues and problems. Lois focused on the “3 L’s of facilitation”: Learning, Logistics, and Longevity. Participants had time to network with and learn from educators from a variety of districts. Lois surprised everyone with a special gift ... a CD containing 19 protocols that will be in her new book on facilitation which will be available soon.
